Contrast
- OPTE precisely deposits picoliter sized droplets of pigment over the precise area to be concealed
- The integral scanner measures the contrast with background skin tone with fine precision
- Contrary to traditional methods of applying makeup, OPTE can apply serum containing pigment with spatial and contrast precision to adjust rather than cover the skin
Chromacity
- A problem with traditional makeup is that cosmetics cover the skin with another color and there will always be a noticeable difference
- OPTE addresses these chromaticity challenges by subtly changing the brightness by an additive color mixture, maintaining the base skin color
- Due to the micro-precision, the natural skin look is maintained in a way that traditional make-up cannot achieve
Contour
- Unlike hand-applied makeup, OPTE treats boundary discontinuities (between the spot and rest of skin) with spatial precision
- Boundaries, especially between light and dark areas are visually conspicuous and color boundaries less so, but still visible
- By eliminating contours, OPTE replaces a disrupting area with a smooth and continuous visual effect
